Photo book of Veteran Graves found at the Lyons Rural Cemetery located on Spencer St in Lyons New York. The photos were collected as part of a Girl Scout Gold Project and are used in binders to place flags on the Graves for Memorial Day. The book contains the names of 159 veterans who served in the United States military in conflicts ranging from the Revolutionary War through the Gulf Conflicts.

William F. Birdsall fought in WWII as part of Task Force Mars in central Asia. Born in rural Powell, PA he entered basic training a country boy ready to serve his country. This collection of his letters to and from home during WWII give us insight into his thoughts and experiences as he journeys through basic training, to war, and back.
